"My name is Sophia (alias for security). My daughter is  Years old and was abused by a neighbour . She kept it a secret for many days but  told  a neigbour who then told me. I told the Local Health Worker who then called District Office and the Police. The Humura Centre really helped me and my family to get over the trauma with professional counseling and therapy. They took us to the hospital and cared for us. My child was then interviewed by Centre and this was used in Court as evidence. The neighbour ws arrested and is now in Prison for what he did to my daughter.  ​

We are recovering slowly with the help of Humura Foundation.".

​Sophia came to us in July 2012 distressed and with nowhere to turn for help. Her daughter had been sexually abused. With your help, we were able to support her and the family through this time and give expert assistence to work  the Local Government.

She is now getting expert care and recovering slowly. THe family are comforted to know that the abuser is in Prison.
